Our landmark building is surrounded by open countryside with views stretching out to the Lakeland fells. Relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Lake District’s rolling hills as the stresses of the day disappear.
So near but yet so far
We are located to the north of Kendal just 1.5 miles from the town centre so are near enough to be easily accessible from the M6 motorway, local train station and from anywhere within the town of Kendal itself. Yet, we are far enough out on the fringes to make the most of the peace and quiet and beautiful surrounding countryside so when you visit you can escape all the hustle and bustle.
Eat, drink and be happy
We love our food and so does our kitchen team who are dedicated to cooking up scrumptious food using some of the best locally sourced produce. Homemade goats cheese and mediterranean vegetable quiche, hot carus triple decker club sandwich, chargrilled chicken and peppercorn sauce, chickpea and roasted pepper burger; not forgetting the all important desserts: choca-bocker glory, lemon and ginger cheesecake. Open seven days a week serving breakfasts, light lunches, evening grills and fabulously indulgent afternoon tea. Rest and repeat
If our food is too tempting to stay for just the one meal why not treat yourself to an overnight stay then you get to experience breakfast…….and maybe lunch and dinner…….
